I’ve always had a deep interest in the lives and cultures of different peoples around the world. As a child, I taught myself basic Spanish and later excelled in languages in my secondary and tertiary training. I enjoy conversing with speakers of foreign languages to see what their lives are like. With my very basic Arabic, I once assisted an Arab woman at the doctor’s office so that she could receive a diagnosis and prepare for surgery. This has been the common thread in my personal and professional life. In 2007, I established The Language Shop, a New York based full service agency offering a full range of written and oral translation and interpreting services, transcription, desktop publishing, and audio visual services in all languages and specialty areas. The Language Shop has a proven track record in the translation and interpreting profession. Our global network of linguists enables us to stay ahead of constantly changing technologies and satisfy our global clients’ demands. We are experts in every imaginable profession, industry and language. We are not only native speakers of the target languages, but we are also fluent in the source languages from which we work.
